Smart and touching comedy Same Time, Next Year opens on April 29!
Starring RH Thomson and Michelle Giroux

From April 29 until May 20

Two people (married — but not to each other) meet for one weekend year after year in a nice little country inn. Only one weekend — after that they go back to their lives, their kids and their spouses. Over the course of 24 years, they develop an emotional intimacy deeper than what one would expect. The play conveys a rainbow of emotions over a quarter-century, as life gives and takes away, and the world continues to change.

Montréal Artist Nicholas Voeikoff-Erens presents his most recent work in the ArtLounge!

Vernissage on April 17 at 6pm at the Segal Centre
Exhibit runs as of April 1 to May 24, 2012

In the early 1970's, Nicholas Voeikoff-Erens chose to travel back to where modern painting had started, Europe. Post – 68' European art schools were undergoing radical changes and so too was art. Voeikoff-Erens uses urban weekly free newspapers as his medium. Going beyond the frame of the traditional canvas, he uses these magazines to create the structure of his paintings. A painting that is not a newspaper but embodies it within. Voeikoff-Erens' paintings are sculptural, reversible and malleable.

Coup de Coeur

"After seeing the Anglos do Marivaux and Archambault, I encourage you to see Denis Marleau's production of L'Histoire du roi Lear at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde. It is Shakespeare's King Lear adapted, translated and truncated to a two-hour show. It features stand out performances from Paul Savoie as Gloucester and Jean-François Casabonne, who is quickly becoming one of my favourite actors in the francophone milieu. The staging of the final scene is remarkable. Each night of the run, a senior actor makes a guest appearance; on April 5th it will be the great Kim Yaroshevskaya from our co-production of Vigil." – Paul Flicker

L'Histoire du Roi Lear (King Lear in English) plays at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde until April 5th. For more information or tickets visit: www.tnm.qc.ca/
