Acclaimed MSO flutists join forces for an afternoon of classical and jazz

For the opening concert of this year's Bravo Music Series, the duo will perform music from Bach to Claude Bolling, accompanied by pianist Marianne Patenaude and Jazz musicians Jim Doxas (drums), Chad Linsley (piano) and Fraser Hollins (bass).

Waterfield's Follies: A Vaudeville Review

The Segal goes Vaudeville with an all-new variety show

Thursday, December 6th beginning at 8:00pm in the Segal Studio, Cabaret style!

The Nutcracker Suite

A contemporary take on a beloved classic comes to the Segal Theatre this December!

In this contemporary Nutcracker, Clara is brought by the Prince, not to the kingdom of sweets but to another planet where people dance very differently from us...! Illuminated costumes, colours chosen specifically to dazzle the children in us all, and unique choreography set to the extraordinary music of Tchaikovsky.

Chuckin' Guffs

A Fundraiser for the Montreal Children's Hospital produced by Beyond the Mountain

Chuckin' Guffs is a solo sketch show by Kirsten Rasmussen. A one woman hilarious sketch show featuring ridiculous characters, heartbreak, dance, moms and even a tiny dino. You will chuckle, you will guffaw, you will be Chuckin' Guffs.

Kirsten Rasmussen is a comedian, improviser and actor. She has two award winning solo shows Tough! and Blink Blink Blink that were both featured at the Montreal Fringe Festival, Blink went on to play at the Centaur's Wildside Festival. Kirsten was a co-founder and director of the Montreal Improv Theatre where she continues to produce shows, direct and teach improvisation. Kirsten was last seen as Kate in Repercussion Theatre's Taming of the Shrew this summer.

Coup de Coeur

"Canada's National Arts Centre in Ottawa has just opened their co-production of Pride and Prejudice.  A masterful adaptation and beautiful period piece, the production is directed by Theatre Calgary's Artistic Director Dennis Garnhum.    Dennis has collected a strong ensemble of seventeen actors and features the effervescent Gemma James Smith, whose Segal Credits include Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Harvey and Blithe Spirit.  Combined with dinner at the excellent NAC Cafe, Pride and Prejudice makes for a great night in our nation's capital. 

Plays at the NAC Theatre in Ottawa until December 12th, 2012.
