JUNE 2014: SPRING FEVER!
Welcome to the last Flick's Picks. It's been quite the Season at the Segal Centre. We started the year with Copa de Oro's uplifting production of Ain't Misbehavin' starring the incredible Kim Richardson. We then teamed up with Scapegoat Carnivale to bring you Othello, starring Andrew Moodie and Sean Arbuckle. We ushered in the New Year with Peter Hinton's adaptation of the Seagull starring Lucy Peacock and Diane D'Aquila. I had the honour to direct Glengarry Glen Ross featuring an ensemble cast including the illustrious RH Thomson and finished the English Season with another ensemble piece, Top Girls. A season of great works with great artists. And now, like a cherry on top, the indomitable Bryna Wasserman brings us the Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre's production of Soul Doctor. Get your tickets fast, they are selling like hotcakes.
Parting is such sweet sorrow,
Paul |

COUP DE COEUR |
"This summer Repercussion Theatre has a really cool project. Artistic Director Paul Hopkins has adapted three of Shakespeare's finest plays into Harry the King: The Famous Victories of Henry V. Paul's directing a superb cast consisting of some young up and comers mixed nicely with talented vets. Segal alum Matthew Kabwe is back in town after completing the Soulpepper Academy. Alex Goldrich has been burning up Montreal's indie stages for the past couple of years. I cannot wait to see Joel Miller's Falstaff – surely one of the greatest roles of all time. Plays in parks throughout Montreal and environs, including five performances in Westmount Park, from Friday, July 4 to Saturday, August 2. For more information, click here. Once more unto the breach, dear friends" - Paul Flicker
