2012-2013 STUDIO SEASON, PRESENTED BY:

Coup de Coeur

Today we have two fine shows to tell you about:

In English, I suggest Trad at Centaur.  Our friends at SideMart Theatrical Grocery are reviving the Irish play that made its North American Premiere at the Segal Centre Studio back in 2007-2008.  Andrew Shaver, Graham Cuthbertson and Patrick Costello are great once again in portraying the hundred-+-year old- cast.  (Drew directs our upcoming Sherlock Holmes, which will also feature Graham and Paddy.) Sarah Yaffe does a beautiful job with the design.  I am told much of the run is sold, but, if you are lucky, you might just get a seat.  Runs at Centaur Theatre until March 24th.

In French, I suggest Yellow Moon – La ballade de Leila et Lee.  The play is mounted by Théâtre de la Manufacture with a stand out performance from artistic director Denis Bernard.  Martin Labrecque – one of Canada's great lighting designers – does brilliant work.  Runs at La Licorne until March 23rd.
