A MESSAGE FROM ARTISTIC PRODUCER PAUL FLICKER
Dearest Patron,
After thirteen years in Saidye's basement, it is now time for me to move on. Being able these last few years to help inform the artistic life of a great cultural city has been an honour. I have treasured my time at the Segal Centre. I have had the privilege to produce and present over 250 productions and concerts, work with thousands of artists and delight and challenge hundreds of thousands of audience.
I shall happily remain at the Segal until the end of June and make my directorial debut with David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross this Spring. So my finale will be a debut.
Lisa Rubin, currently Managing Director, will assume the position of Artistic and Executive Director. Along with Jonathan Rondeau, who will be promoted to General Manager, Lisa is surrounded by one the strongest teams in Canadian theatre. In their capable hands, the Segal Centre will continue in its mission to produce and present world-class theatre, featuring the best artists from Montreal and beyond.
I'd like to thank the Segal Centre Board of Directors, our incredible staff, Montreal's theatre community and most importantly, you, for your loyalty and passion for live theatre. I look forward to celebrating the launch of our blockbuster 2014-2015 Season with you this March. I leave proud of what we have accomplished as a team and confident in the Segal Centre.
The time is ripe to eat a peach.
With love,
Paul Flicker |
