JARON FREEMAN-FOX & THE OPPOSITE OF EVERYTHING
Our all-new Indie Series continues with this rising folk star!
Wednesday, February 6th at 8:00 p.m. in the Studio
"The hyper-kinetic Jaron Freeman-Fox is the Jimi Hendrix of the violin" – Ottawa International Jazz Festival
Influenced by the sounds of the Vancouver coastline, the busy streets of Delhi and the London Bridge, virtuoso violinist/composer Jaron Freeman-Fox contorts the violin into new traditions by fusing his roots of Celtic and bluegrass with Indian classical music and jazz.
An electrifying musician that redefines world music, Freeman-Fox is accompanied by the fiery band The Opposite of Everything, combining bluegrass with Indian music, African beats, and klezmer with the blues. The result: an honest, ambitious, and progressive sound within the Canadian musical landscape. Not to be missed!
