"In addition to the Venice-set Othello, travel to Renaissance Italy with the SPLENDORE A VENEZIA, ART AND MUSIC FROM THE RENAISSANCE TO BAROQUE IN VENICE exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. This world premiere exhibition explores the important interrelationships that exist between the visual arts and music in the Venetian Republic, from the early Sixteenth Century to the fall of the Serenissima at the close of the Eighteenth Century. The art and music of this mythical city come to life right before your eyes!

An especially serendipitous connection, Othello's sound design was inspired by none other than Italian composer, Claudio Monteverdi, a prominent component of this splendid new exhibit!

Presented at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts until January 19th, 2014. Info: mbam.qc.ca"
